Describes the bad rejected shells were used to carry nitrogen to the field.  Also charging the buffers with this gauge on the large cannons for recoil. Very hard to find Artillery manual for the field and maintenance of the weapon.

Contains 16 pages full of diagrams also descriptions of using this gauge system. What a novel Idea to use bad projectiles to carry nitrogen in to the field.  Also personally never knew this was done. War document 701.
