Describes the bad rejected shells were used to carry nitrogen to the field.  Also charging the buffers on the large cannons for recoil. Very hard to find Artillery manual for the field and maintenance of the weapon.

Contains 22 pages full of diagrams also descriptions of using this system. What a novel Idea to use bad projectiles to carry nitrogen in to the field.  Also personally never knew this was done.
