Group Navy Eagle Scout

Description

Group Navy Eagle Scout. Condition wonderful. Unbelievable grouping of a Boy Scout working on Eagle and entered the War before achieving it. Joins the Navy as enlisted. Serves in the European and Pacific Theater with a total of 4 battle stars. Later in Vietnam as officer with 2 battle stars and other awards. Liberation of Philippines.

Released from duty in 1945 and petitions for Eagle Scout in 1947. He was over 18 and not allowed, BUT he gets it and as the grouping shows continues on to camp master. VERY RARE to find a Eagle scout over 18.  VERY few WWII vets that tried were able to do this after fighting in a War.

Everything seen is his and included in this sale. Original box to Eagle medal (With mothers pin). Also the Arrow, Star, and other awards are present with mothers pins. Have not done a great research on him yet. I believe the eagle medal and mothers pin are what they call type III.
