GROUP KIA HELLCAT PILOT “ENSIGN CASE” WITH PURPLE HEART. This navy pilot was from fighter squadron 35. Items named to Navy ensign Ernest Case from the USS Chenango. Between the research and the copies of papers from the family this is an excellent grouping.

This one died near the Philippines while flying from the USS Chenango. Even includes a photo showing him ready for flight and his name on the life preserver. Also includes some insignias, wings without pin, nice photos of training and war time and portraits.

Shaving kit box is named and the centerpiece of collection with his embossed name. Also contains lots of other items as well as you can see in photos. All included like, named Bible, and COPIES of paperwork directly from the family. also includes the Purple heart. Unnamed.
