FRENCH 1912 PREP MEDAL FOR WEAPONS OF WAR. Sold for raising money for the looming war ahead. They showed the enemy that France was prepared for battle if it should come. Sold in about 1912 and as we know the Great WAR soon came 2 years later.

The artistry and the striking are beautiful and very detailed. This is marked as a solid bronze piece.  50mm or 2 inches in diameter. This money was raised to fund new weapons for defense.
