British War savings badge. Condition excellent. Patent number on the back button pole. Maker name is on the back of the badge. During WWI the British thought to raise money for the War effort. Selling bonds and items to help fund the long war.  The Insignia they chose was the Swastika…. OOOPS! Only 2 decades later would they face the same threat with the same symbol.

Enamel is in great condition and a interesting badge. They changed this later on as WWII drew closer. Irony, but also another way to show that the “Lucky” Swastika was not JUST a evil Nazi symbol. We honestly don’t sympathize with the 3rd Reich here at Doughboy Military. Its just a Love for history. The more we learn, the more we progress.
