JAPANESE WWII SENNINBARI 1000 STITCH KNOT PRAYER PROTECTION BELT. A nice item that has much history and ideology behind them. 1000 knots were tied by 1000 people. A prayer was done to protect the soldiers with each knot tied. These were sent to the Japanese soldiers by the women back in Japan. Excellent condition and with a good luck prayer on the back written. This one actually has all 1000 stitches intact. I like to see these 1000 stitch belts in Japanese collections with flags and banners. The Japanese had a very religious theology, and it went into the battlefield as well.
