GROUPING KIA NAVY HELLCAT PILOT “ENSIGN CASE WITH PURPLE HEART (Not named). This navy pilot was from fighter squadron 35. Named to Navy ensign Ernest Case from the USS Chenango. Between the research and the copies of papers from the family this is an excellent grouping of a KIA pilot who died near the Philippines while flying from the USS Chenango.  Even includes a photo showing him ready for flight and his name on the life preserver. includes some insignias, wings without pin, nice photos of training and war time and portraits.

His NAMED shaving kit box is the centerpiece of this collection with the embossed name. lots of other items as well as you can see in photos all included like, named a Bible, and copies of paperwork the family did not want to get rid of at the time.

A wonderful grouping KIA navy HELLCAT pilot in WWII.
