PHOTO USMC PRESS BATTLE OF SAIPAN. Measures 8,5 x 6.5 in black and white.  This original photo was a press release that was ok for the US papers in the United States. Then they were printed in the papers. This excellent battle photo shown the mounting Japanese bodies piling up from the taking of this island.

Well types original description on the back with the release from the Marine Corps to have it published.  These are some of the harder photos to find from the War. Most were thrown out by the Newspapers that they were sent to after they were used.
