Shrapnel from USS ICS (L) (3)-60 THAT HIT THE SHIP IN 1945. It is amazing enough to have this large piece of shrapnel but this is from Dec 7, 1945. 4 years after Pearl Harbor. This was picked up after it hit the Conning Tower of the vessel by the Commander Lt. White.

The tag was apparently written by him as well. The ship received 2 battle stars for participation, and THIS was one of them. This all happened by them hitting a Japanese Mine.
