DEFENSE COUNCIL WMNS PIN BTN BADGE. This plastic name badge was manufactured by Whitehead & Hoag. It is unissued with no name on it. Would have been worn by a woman working in the recreational services in Washington DC in WWII. Excellent condition with no cracking or damage. These small womans home front group items are a tough find.

There were so many of these groups helping out in the US and many like this one was smaller type organizations. A very nice home front WWII collectable. The council of defense womans battalion was gone immediately after the war ended.
