This grouping as described above is straight from the family and is in WONDERFUL condition for battle gear, and the dress uniform is immaculate with NO damage.  Research is so minimal on this but know he was married in 1946 to Patricia and know he would have participated in MOST to ALL the battles due to crossing with the 22nd regt in Jan of 1944 over the Time Line in the Pacific. He enlisted about May or June of 1942 maybe earlier. but lots of research left.  The engraved canteen cup has 7 ships on it as well that were armored transports and such he was on. this could give all his battles as well.  Also his regiment and KENTUCKY.  May have been from there but lived most of life here in Springfield Missouri.  Exceptional marked BATTLE gear as well. FIRST pattern battle pack, !st model canteen cover with 1918 fully trench art engraved cup and 1942 canteen. 1943 belt. Shortened putties, trouser belt with New Zealand penny on it. Uniform leather waist belt saw years of use after service but included. fully stenciled named blanket.  And his Aug 1942 shooting book.. Expert rifle but missing that but has pistol badge of his.  Ribbons all plastic coated but he should have a MUC with gold star as well due to units activities. but a VERY large USMC grouping as you don't see this much battle gear all names often in a grouping. PLEASE SEE ALL 10 PHOTOS IN BOTH LISTINGS INCLUDING ABOVE.
