USMC IWO JIMA EARNED PURPLE HEART 5TH MAR FORMER PARA-MARINE: This purple heart has about 60 pages of research and not named being a wound only type.  But in the purple box of issue. CPL Rasmussen was a Para Marine that went into the 5th MAR as most and was wounded in Iwo Jima.  Medal does have oxidation to it but nice and with a error purple plastic heart as I have seen before, not chipped but warped i guess.  Name is period written in box and completely original.
