EMERGENCY ISSUE WWII PLASTIC WARTIME METAL SAVING FIRST AID PACKET:  This plastic version of the field first aid packet was made of a grey plastic and painted OD in color with a copper sealing band.  This saved the use of copper for the war effort and used a plastic known as tenite.  The down side was cracking and this one has a small one as seen on the top.  Scarcer variation of the WWII first aid packet.
